FEHVS is a mobile integrative veterinary service, servicing Southern Tasmania.
Our mission is to support clients in their pursuit to empower the animals under their care to thrive, by utilising the best evidence-based Western and Eastern veterinary medicine and by providing exceptional, compassionate, at home veterinary care.
We hope to contribute to furthering education in Tasmania’s animal-owning community in safe, effective, sustainable and sustained animal wellness and preventative care.
Acknowledgment
Fifth Element Holistic Vet acknowledges lutruwita and with deep respect the palawa owners of this land, especially the Paredarerme tongue, custodians of the country we call home.
The palawa people belong to the oldest continuing culture in the world. They cared for and protected Country for thousands of years. They knew this land, they lived on the land and they died on these lands. I honour them.
I pay my respects to elders past and present and to the many Aboriginal people that did not make elder status and to the Tasmanian Aboriginal community that continue to care for Country.
I recognise a history of truth which acknowledges the impacts of invasion and colonisation upon Aboriginal people resulting in the forcible removal from their lands.
Our Island is deeply unique, with spectacular landscapes with our cities and towns surrounded by bushland, wilderness, mountain ranges and beaches.

FEHVS adheres strictly to our zero tolerance policy, aiming to foster a safe, inclusive, trauma-informed space in all our interactions.
This includes being a 100% positive reinforcement and low stress handling veterinary service. FEHVS retains our right to refuse service.
We are committed to reducing our industry’s negative impact on the environment and to reflecting the care and compassion with which we treat our patients in the way we run our business.

The results speak for themselves, my boys are happy and healthy and they love when Dr Yap comes to visit… Her compassion for her clients is evident and she has a lovely way with my boys, making them feel comfortable and happy which is very important to me, I have also found home visits are a lot less stressful, they don’t even realise they are in a consultation and being assessed!! Haha!!
